IMPORTS / EXPORTS
Our team specializes in importing horses from Europe to Canada and the United States, specifically from Spain, Portugal, and Belgium. Since 2015, Dorian Escalon’s family business (El Caballo del Mar) has imported horses for several American and Canadian customers.
Avalon stables (Quebec, Canada) work jointly with El Caballo Del Mar (Valencia, Spain). Avalon takes care of the North American customers, the research on the horses, the trials in Europe, and the negotiations. Simultaneously, El Caballo Del Mar is responsible for securing the transaction by attending pre-purchase veterinary examinations, taking care of quarantines and the necessary transport, and ensures transparent communication between breeders/merchants and the customer, and finally guaranteeing the validity of the sales contracts.

If you are looking to export a horse, we can easily assist you by taking care of the export papers, transportation, and insurance.

Fantastic character, Joao has been in dressage training since summer 2020.
In 2020 Joao attended his first competition, under saddle, with one of our 13-year-old students. They scored a promising 65.24% in their Training level class.
Joao is currently training Level 2 and is making progress in leaps & bounds.

2012 Lusitanian imported from Portugal, 15h2 hands, Coudelaria Manuel Maia Correira
FEI prospect
Sensitive and very elastic, this Lusitano is a son of the famous Soberano, a Lusitanian who participated in the Olympic Games with Carlos Pinto. His talents are remarkable and make him an excellent dressage horse.
He is currently schooling Level 3, Prix St-George.

Soldier Boy
2010 Dutch Warmblood, imported from USA, 16h2, LEXICON
Warmblood, having competed Baby-Green early in his career, was valued on the American Hunter circuit. He shows a surprising aptitude for Show Jumping, which makes him an excellent prospect for +1.10m. Powerful and agile on course, easy to sit, strong base in dressage up to Level 1. Automatic lead change. Competed at Bromont during the 2020 summer season in the 1.0m open classes due to a gradual return to work through no fault of his own. 1m division winner and schools 1.10m at home.

2011 Lusitano from Portugal, 16 hands, Coudelaria De Sant’iago
Peralta Pihina X Pimba
Sensitive and powerful, this Lusitano will excel in Working Equitation or classic dressage. Gentil does jumping courses (2.5-ft), trail rides, Liberty work and continuously gives 400% to his rider. He has infinite energy. His father, Peralta Pinha, performed in the European Young Riders Championships at Stadl Paura in 2006 and Nussloch in 2007 with Boaventura Freire. He produced several offspring competing at the Grand Prix level and was the only Lusitano accepted as a breeding stallion in Germany.
He is currently competing at level 2, schooling level 3. Easy lead changes.

Will be registered with the IHALA.
This young half-Lusitanian colt will be weaned during winter 2021. He is chestnut-colored, very playful, and mischievous. He leads in hand, gives to lead line pressure, and gives his feet. He demonstrates an extreme facility to engage his hindquarters and overall agility with excellent balance.
Solid Dressage or Working Equitation prospect
He can be castrated before his departure.
